Nourishing postpartum days

Postpartum days ask a lot of a body and a household. Nourishment can mean simple meals, water within reach, and permission to rest when the baby rests — even if laundry waits.

Accept help with food, dishes, and older children. Soft foods that are easy to eat one-handed, a refillable water bottle, and a short outdoor walk (when cleared by your clinician) can support mood and recovery for many people.

Contact your clinician promptly for heavy bleeding, fever, severe pain, thoughts of self-harm, or breathing trouble. You deserve skilled support.
